Springer Science+Business Media

Founded in 1842 by Julius Springer in Berlin, Springer Science+Business Media is a global publishing company that specializes in books and peer-reviewed journals in the science, technical and medical fields. The company now has multiple locations around the world with their New York location being the second largest.

We recently renovated Springer’s New York office on 233 Spring Street, which is the company’s second home in the Big Apple. The move was influenced by a merge with Dutch publishing company Kluwer Academic Publishers (KAP) in the summer of 2004. According to their website, all the New York employees moved from the famous Flat Iron Building to new, larger offices in Spring Street.
